Today, we are pleased to announce that Claire Milligan has joined the Aimably team as Chief Executive Officer. A proven leader with experience from startup to scaling, Claire will be responsible for commercialization, operations and business strategy at Aimably.
Claire began her career in design, working for client services firm Manmade where she developed her skill for applying design thinking to business problems, and burnished the firm’s existing reputation with clients for understanding the broad business landscape as a critical requirement in solving even the most narrow design projects.
For the last 8 years, Claire has worked for financial technology challenger Emburse, beginning her arc with the company as one of earliest employees dedicated to building their Tallie solution alongside Aimably founder Mark Milbourne. Most recently, Claire served as the General Manager for the company’s small business solutions of Tallie and SpringAhead, after completing a prior stint as Vice President of Product Management company-wide. Teammates attribute her success at Emburse through numerous mergers and acquisitions to her unique combination of a demanding expectation of performance for herself and others, a belief in the value of real human connection and an almost compulsory need to make clarity of the most complicated of business problems.
A firm believer in the duty of the private sector to make positive impact on the lives of employees, Claire served as Executive Sponsor during the re-launch of Emburse’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion organization named Humanity Included and built a reputation as a leader who connected authentically across departments and levels to represent the broader employee experience in the boardroom.
Joining the Aimably team is a natural fit for Claire who is thrilled at the opportunity to build another company from the ground up with a trusted colleague. She was sold on Mark’s vision of placing the trio of teamwork, transparency and business results at the heart of everything that Aimably does, and is committed to making this vision a reality.
